A few weeks back, singer songwriter Nicole Atkins took us on a tour of her town Asbury NJ...introducing us to the boardwalk, Bruce Springsteen's Stone Pony, and even a kooky vintage shop that had pretty much any nickknack you can imagine (and which inspired is to play dress-up in kimonos and top-hats for the camera). Meanwhile, I prodded her with questions of her childhood and music- while the sea breeze blew. The result is an intimate perspective of what makes Nicole tick, what inspired her album Neptune City (the brilliant oxymoron "beautiful decay" of NJ shore)....and it makes you think about how one evolves and grows with their past and their roots over time.

Definitely. Aside from the fact that they're producing albums, they seem so much more..."human".
