WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Laura Marling- indie darling?

Posted about 1 year ago

I just found out about this little dove- she's coming to NY pretty soon but I heard that she's pretty well-founded in the brit indie scene? Is that correct, you Brits out there?

Regardless, I like her light acoustic folk ballads wrapped in a bit of melancholy....reminds me of Jaymay colored in grey...

Well you can find my thoughts on her album and live show in that handy new Latest Post About box the Mog techies have installed...

She's definitely a very talented lass, and very nice in person... I was meant to see her twice last week actually, but was unable to go...

Oh also, becareful the shows don't get cancelled - last year she got thrownout of one of her own UK gigs for being underage... probably why all her latest gigs over here were in churches

haha that's so typical. American puritanism fettering young talents.

Deg- it's happy dystopia baby! (in Michael Stipe's words)

Jox- will go find ur post right now. great minds think alike :)

She’s musical, intelligent and peppers a “thin, thin millimeter shell” of rock throughout. I like her. Thanks!

Yeah. I may not be a Brit, but I'm def an Anglophile. And I've got the Joxer to thank for tipping me to Laura - a kid with a future.
