Erin Digs It: Joan As Police Woman

Metropolitan cavewoman soul. That's what I'm calling Joan As Police Woman's performance last night in Tribeca. And it was soul cleansingly beautiful.

Frontwoman Joan Wasser sings with the strength of Annie Lennox, the soul of Roberta Flack, and with a primal, expressionist Id fully intact. She is the Virginia Woolf of rock and roll in a 21st century way.
Here is a snipit from last night's show:
From Joan As Police Woman's website: "The general feeling these days," Joan claims, "is trust no-one, all the media is lying to you...there's such a sense of distrust in the air. For me, the most subversive you can be these days is to be totally honest, and to really laud beauty".
I'll drink to that.
I'll also say that I cannot get enough of the new song/video: "Start of my Heart."
Joan As Police Woman: Erin most definitely digs it.
