WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

My christian pick, a pretty heavy band. Have metal influences, and you can definetely hear them. This is their one toned down song.

  1. dansemcabre says Not a bad song but for some reason christian music all has a similarity in format. (ok I shouldent have said all but it seems that way) I think the similarity in format and sound is from playing in front of church and /or youth group. it's not really a terrible thing but it tends to lock a person into a way of thinking about music and playing in the default youth group style. I'd really like to see christian music go away from the church. not in lyrics but in style. I wanna hear a christian song that is too extreme or diffrent to play at a youth camp. post a heavier song from this band please.

  3. TylerDurden says check out my postings on my page, a band called the chariot...very unsettling for the norm of christian similarity you speak of...might be a few pages back on my page...

  4. incense burning 19 times 3 says Joe: Thanks. I listened to 'The Chariot' and didn't like it, not my cup of tea. Dansemcabre: opinion noted and agreed with, lots of christian music is similar, but that doesn't dissuade me.

  5. Yuchina says i think this song -after the world- is awsome!!! similarity in format or not. it doesnt have to be too complicated as long as it sounds great and has the right message. i absolutely loved it

  6. incense burning 19 times 3 says Yuchina: thanks a bunch, never bothered me either if music is similar to other, ask Joe (TylerDurden) as a musician or not, I can tell that pretty much every song is similar to another because they haven't come up with anything new, all music can only be a mix of 11 notes per octave, standard time signature, not very original, but every band can still sound unique and different. Being Similar ain't bad is it? Glad you liked it!
