i love discovering new music... the rush of finding a new band that you can relate to and love. it's like a new relationship.. something unexpected happens.. i cool bass riff or a crazy vocal arrangement... and you feel the tingles... but i think more than that i might love rediscovering old music. songs that years ago were new and exciting that have long ago been put on my shelf and forgotten about. pulling them out and remembering the first time i heard them. how it seems to transport you back to a time that now lives only in memory and at the same time allows you to relate to the sounds in a new way, a different relationship. a deeper relationship... one with history... ah, that's good stuff...
