Snowboarding Soundtrack
I was just wistfully dreaming of being back on the mountains with the wind blowing, the snow, the absolute freedom you get when you are hauling down a mountain. One of the things that I enjoy the most is turning on the music and just literally going with the flow. I put the player on shuffle and just shredded.
I found that reggae i.e Matisyahu, Rap: Biggie Smalls (Notorious B.I.G.), Jay-Z, Eminem, and Sage Francis translates well to boarding. The best for the rides up the mountains is something like Sufjan or Death Cab. You are immersed in beauty. Some of the more "traditional" (usually after a crash and your body feels broken riding music that I like is stuff like Rage Against The Machine, Isis, System of a Down work well to get the blood pumping. And The Music, Kasabian, Bloc Party, and A Perfect Circle to end the day on a good strong note.
Now I know that a lot of these bands/groups/performers may be looked on with scorn but for me that is what I like to listen to and this is the music that does it for me. Just a random wistful rememberance. I am gonna go listen to Trentemoller now. And dream of flying...
