Besame Mucho - world-famous spanish song
-
Artist:
Besame Mucho is one of well-known song all over ther world. Since I've been hearing it once again I've decided to make the post about it. That imperishable song Besame Mucho was written by young girl Consuelo Velasquez in 1941. In 1944 this song Besame Mucho had won the spanish song contest in USA, starting to play over the air and soon had became the world hit. The song Besame Mucho was translated to all the languages with number of cover-versions up to 700, among them Elvis, Beatles, Sinatra and many many others.
I think it was a kind of luck. The story of Consuelo's success is fantastic. In times of WW2 it was something like a Farewell of the Slavonian song.
The lyrics (in spanish):
Besame Mucho
Besame, besame mucho,
Como si fuera esta noche la ultima vez.
Besame, besame mucho,
Que tengo miedo tenerte, y perderte despues.
Quiero tenerte muy cerca,
Mirarme en tus ojos,
Verte junto a mi
Piensa que tal vez manana,
Yo ya estare lejos,
Muy lejos de aqui.
Besame, besame mucho,
Como si fuera esta noche la ultima vez.
Besame, besame mucho,
Que tengo miedo tenerte, y perderte despues.
