in 8th grade, when Oasis released Definitely Maybe, I really did think they were the greatest fucking thing in the world. the thrill actually died for me a bit by the time Morning Glory was released. it's all about that first album for me. the song "Slide Away" was initially, always has been and always will be my favorite Oasis track of all time. I don't know what it is about it. it tears me completely fucking apart and puts me back together and reduces me to tears and makes my heart feel like it's about to beat out of my chest. I heard it today for the first time in a good 5 years (maybe more). I danced around my store and sang it with a huge grin on my face.
