for the first three days that I had the new Bernard Fanning album, I basically devoured it. I listened to it 6 times in the first 24 hour period (including 8 hours of sleep and 8 hours of work). it completes me.I wanted this cd because (a) Bernard Fanning is the lead singer of Powderfinger, who I love and (b) it is on Lost Highway Records.now it's like neither of those facts matter because it has become it's own living, breathing entity. if Bernard went into this with the frame-of-mind to step as far away from Powderfinger as possible, he certainly accomplished it. the only song that's in anyway rocking is "Which Way Home?" that track alone would not give an appropriate view of the album. so I don't really know why I have it on the 'songs you should listen to' thing. my favorite track thus far is probably "Believe". I love the outro so much. I love his voice so much.
