Street Scene injury guy expected to survive
almost 6 years ago

One guy who was in critical condition is now expected to survive.Poor fucker. I am tempted to make a joke about being crushed by a throng of Tool-loving goths, but it would probably be in poor taste considering that the guy was actually nearly killed.

Bright Eyes

It's taken a while, but I finally got around to acquiring/listening to Digital Ash in a Digital Urn. (Thanks Lala.com!) I think I was burned out on Bright Eyes when it was first released, so I passed on it and the accompanying I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning, which I now regret doing.I really like this album, which is chock full of Conor Oberst's accomplished songwriting and really is not (quite) as

I love that their record label's website used to be 64slicesofamericancheese.com. I love that their post-Pavement japanophile/americanophile DIY siamese-dream-blissy drugged esthetic was not American, a...

Radiohead show

Only the blurriest of crappy camphone pics made it back with me, since I took ticketmaster at their word and assumed that no cameras would be allowed inside. However, at any distance greater than ten feet all pictures of a band on stage tend to look the same, so I guess it doesn't matter. The show was great. I realize that I like OK Computer and earlier songs a lot better live than the Kid A/Amne

Iron Maiden T-shirts

I wish that back when I was listening to Iron Maiden furiously that I had purchased an Iron Maiden shirt. Then I would be able to wear that shirt now, since it is now what the smug coolier-than-thou people wear. But I didn't. And now it's too late. I can't go out and buy one, or even ebay one, without feeling like a trendy fuck. I can only glare at them, wearing my home-made BoC shirt.
