So, to start off my blog and be timely as well, I'd like to ask: "What's your favourite rock n' roll Christmas / Holday album?" My vote is for Phil Spector's "A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector" because nothing says rock like the Wall of Sound and nothing takes the Christ out of Christmas quite like Phil Spector looking scary as hell in a Santa suit. He is, after all, a homicidal maniac / musical genius. To mention one other with my same opinion, Brian Wilson says that it's his favourite as well. It did not sell well when it came out, though, because it was released right after JFK was assassinated. Sure beats all the other Holiday schlock out there!
