Hey Shayna :) You were right all along, my friend. I was lucky enough to see him last month (he opened up for Wilco) and it was instant love ... I bought everything I could find the next day. He is amazing, and I really hope his work doesn't continue to go unnoticed. I have been falling all over myself since hearing Vol. 1.

I totally agree... he needs to be heard by more people. I'm glad you got to see him live. and with Wilco no less! I guess a sign that he's getting more attention. he's one of those artists that I feel incredibly fortunate to have seen many times. the first time I saw him was opening for Earlimart a few years ago! that was a pretty special show (as evidenced here)

btw, I'm seeing Great Lake Swimmers tomorrow!

I'm with you, but in the sense that I've got my own artists/albums that I'll be listening to for a week straight. I'm stuck on my own artists. Sorry to say I've never heard of this guy before...the songs you posted are pretty decent.
