A quick news tidbit for any Tindersticks fans out there ... the group has recently released a short film via Beggars Banquet in promotion for their wonderful new album The Hungry Saw, featuring commentary from singer Stuart Staples about the history of the band joined with choice snippets from the record. It's a nice little short for those already acquainted with them, and for fans-to-be who are unfamiliar with Tindersticks' moody/jazzy/loungy/mysterious "chamber pop," it should give your ears a chance to find out what they've been missing. I'm unable to embed the vid, but follow --> "this link":http://www.thehungrysaw.com/thosedevilhands/ and you'll be on your way (and along with the track above there's another great one that Dachmo posted "here":http://mog.com/dachmo/blog_post/152741).'Course I can't leave without posting one of my favorite Tindersticks' songs. It's from 1999, but there are still times when this will be stuck in my head for weeks ... it has been solidly rooted in there for the past several. Enjoy, peeps...... and a warm welcome back to all our moggily friends returning to the fold. You were sorely missed!

Blair, yes all is good at the gmo abode (hardly even a breeze here, but I'm 60 miles south from where it hit). Keeping my fingers crossed for those in the way ... Thanks hon. :)

Ray, you won't be showing your metal horns for this but I'm glad you like it anyway!

It seems more bands are releasing vids/DVDs with their music now. I just picked up the DVD/EP combo by The National the other day and am excited to watch it. I haven't had a chance to spin this album yet, but I'll be putting it on my To Listen list. Thanks!

Lizzie!! Great to see your dazzling green eyes back here darlink! Yeah yeah, we talked on the other site-that-shall-not-be-named, but you were still missed here. :)
Pekka, I'm convinced I need a little gloom in my music at least once a day ... goes hand-in-hand with the coffee in the morning and red wine at night!
Mike, I just read a glowing review for The National's new EP and I can't wait to hear it. The DVD is the Vincent Moon (a la La Blogotheque) film, yes?

Thank you very much, Erin! I played their new album only 2 times so far, but I liked what heard. They don't disappoint, do they...
PS poe, I swear I'm not stalking you with comments, it's just coincidence... :)
