WE DO THE MASHED POTATO AND THE FUNKY CHICKEN

Everyday a beginning

Posted 9 months ago

It may be Monday, I may have many tasks at hand, but my mind may not have caught onto that notion yet ... it's looking both behind and in front of me, slyly evading the limbo of the everyday. I've been filling the space in between with the lovely new album from Vetiver, Tight Knit, which is due out on SubPop on the 17th. It has steadily worked its way under my skin and is taking up shop right where it should be: somewhere between my ears and that old beating thing.

Nice track, quite winsome. And by my clock it's 5PM Denver time, which is (hopefully) quitting time in your job.

You know, they're really good tracks to listen to while you're waiting for a web page to load, curiously enough.

Leopold Bloom — I've been trolling your mog page — very nice!

What sweeties! (You and Vetiver's new songs, that is.) BTW, had any Hitachino Nest White or Red Rice yet?

aww, speaking of sweet, look who's here :) Dag, Michael, I haven't gotten my hands on Hitachino yet! I haven't seen it in the stores either, but will investigate. That good, aye?

Yep. Worth a sip or a gulp or guzzle. BTW, I actually have a bottle of Echigo - the other fancy-schmancy Japanese beer, and what I'm holding in my avatar photo - sitting in the fridge for a weekend quaff. I'll be thinking of my fellow beer enthusiasts as I drink it.

I've been wondering what you were showcasing in your 'tar. I've not had the Echigo either but you're certainly whetting my appetite for a gulp. :)

Oh, sigh. The new Vetiver thing is doing something spellbinding to the old beating thing.

I think I lost this new Monday to procrastination and daydreaming, an awful combination unless there's no work to be done, which is never. {:
