So, the new Incubus album leaked.
I've been saving up to buy it November 28th, but I still couldn't resist downloading it. I know, I know, filesharing is wrong, blah blah blah, but I've been waiting for a new Incubus release FOREVER so....yeah =p
Having my first listen to it as we speak, and so far, it's pretty solid. Like all of Incubus' albums, it has an equal mix of more mellow, beautiful songs and louder, energetic tracks. The title track and "Diamonds and Coal" are probably my favorite songs so far, but like I said, it's REALLY good as a whole. Might I add that Jose Pasillas is probably one of the best drummers in alternative rock? His drumming, I think, stands out way more on Light Grenades than it does on previous albums. Brandon's vocals are absolutely beautiful, as always - I swear, I could listen to him sing out of the phonebook and still love it, haha.
Unfortunately, I think their only Florida tour date is in Orlando...two hours away =(. Figures, I guess. AND they're touring with Albert Hammond Jr. - damn it! No good "big" acts ever come to Gainesville, ever. EVER.
So yeah...another amazing album from Incubus ♥
Mmmkay, maybe not EVER. But I think this is Brand New's best album. I cannot stop listening to it.
Lyrics, vocals, energy, production, album art, everything.
It's perfect.
On a related note, The Devil and God Are Raging Inside of Me FINALLY leaked a few days ago. It's definitely in my top 10 albums for 2006. Very dark and moody compared to their earlier work, but brilliant nonetheless. I'll certainly be picking it up on November 21st =D

?! Uyyy I still have to wait and I'm probably thee most impatient person ever! Yeah and I agree that Jose Pasillas is like one of the most amazing drummers out there right now and that Brandon is an incredible singer! I'm having the same problem with seeing them live! I live in Miami and no one ever comes here but friggin Shakira and Justin Timberlake! Well they have a show in Atlanta and sooner or later my brother's gonna find out since he's in college up there and I don't give a crap if I'm in school or anything but I'm going! Haha
^^I hope everything works out and that you get to see them live =) Even if it means going all the way to Atlanta, haha...
