It's been almost 18 months since I last posted something, and the "secret project" I mentioned hasn't gone anywhere, unfortunately. But I've decided to start writing more. And until I decide if I want to take this to a standalone blog, I'm going to do it here. My goal is to start seeing more shows and discovering more new (to me) music, and inflicting my views about it on anybody who makes the mist

Actually, I hope to be able to make an announcement here within the next couple of months. Something I've been working on for a while that may be gathering steam. Keep your eyes open. ::hush hush secret secret::

Stalk-Pop

/Passenger is a relatively new band out of Brighton, England, and their sound is notable for deft guitar work, solid pop hooks, and complex, layered lyrics. This song, for instance, is well-suited for toe-tapping and singing along... but it quickly becomes clear that it's a song about stalking. For those of you who so desperately want to know what I'm doing any time of day, I am a Twitterer (or perhaps just a twit?), so you can follow all of my amazing (*yawn*) adventures here: http://twitter.com/golux13.No, my tweets are not very exciting, but I follow many people with much more interesting lives than mine, so there's that.

I knew I'd been off Mog for a while, but I didn't realize it had been that long. Wow. Well, I hope to be back in the musical saddle shortly. Looking Backwards
about 3 years ago

Right Back Into It

It never rains but it pours. It's always feast or famine. What I'm saying is, I'm on a roll. Here's yet another WIFLI Music Challenge. (Just a regular one, not a Mega! Challenge!)My music library is a lot like every bedroom I've ever lived in, and every desk I've ever worked at: cluttered, piled high with various and sundry items that I have collected and dispersed willy-nilly, higgled-piggled

The WIFLI Mega Challenge Has Arrived!

Yes, here it is, a WIFLI Music MEGA Challenge! You may wonder: What makes it "mega"? HaHA! Instead of a clip from one track for you to identify, I have strung together ten clips from ten different songs, one after the other. The (mega) challenge is to identify all ten artists and songs. But wait, there's more! Not only are there ten clips, but none of them have any vocals! Music only for this
