WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

I still love buying cd's, don't you?

What a great week for music it's been. Starting with Tuesday, finding the new BJORK......Volta at Target. It has a pop-up kinda carton, held together w/ a sticker of Bjork in a Christmas ornament/duck costume. Cute idea, but my sticker ripped slightly because you have to take it off and then put it back on.....Finally after getting to the cd, I love Bjork. I needed something new. Track one and four are done w/ Timbaland...and I'm diggin' it all.So, then, Tonight I swung by Amoeba, and left with so many new tunes. I got this fab STEREOLAB box set w/ 3 cd's and a dvd. 28 of the 35 songs are previously unreleased......and it came with stickers...supercool.....I love it and I have not even listened to it...I will....YES....and then, I picked up the Sea and the Cakes's new one, Everybody, which vibrated weird on my computer when I loaded onto itunes. You know they are playing Saturday and...I think it said Sunday, too at the Trubador in LA. So, which night should I go? It's kinda weird to have to choose....hum...in the meantime I got this 7 track disc from the sea and the cake, glass. It says, featuring 4 new songs and remixes by stereolab, etc....I'll listen to that one later....=) can't wait... Last, but not least I picked up Tracy Thorn (from everything but the girl), titled, OUT OF THE WOODs....it's playing on my cd player, while I am listening and burning to the sea and the cake......LOL...Tracy Thorn dominates, for the moment....it's late and time for bed......

  1. glammerhammer says The Stereolab package is called, Oscillons from the Anti-Sun. It's the best thing I've seen in a long time. (Later I'm looking that up in the dictionary.) Keep posted for my review.....after fully absorbing it, I will share.

One of the greatest pleasures of my life and I live right across the street from one of the coolest record stores in the world, http://www.recycled-records.com/ . Oh, did I mention I met the love of my wife in this store? Ping me when you come to SF we'll go shopping!
