Love Didn't Work...

Posted over 3 years ago
We sing the loudest when we're happiest, and when we're really miserable. I had my iPod on shuffle in the car, and Love Will Keep Us Together came on. This is a song I've always liked, since when I first saw it on the Leslie Uggams / Big Bird episode of The Muppet Show. However, my girlfriend and I just recently broke up, and we'd been together for +3 years. You would think a song about how "love will keep us together" would be soul crushing, but I decided to sing along at the top of my lungs. And I enjoyed it.Why? Was I singing it ironically? Singing away my sadness? Am I getting over her? Frankly, I'm not 100% sure. But I do know that the keyboard solo is awesome.
