I got a hint about Amanda Blank online today and went to have a listen. I love that she is in PA but all of her tours are in the UK and Canada. I think that speaks loads to her music genre and where it may NOT be easy to find it (ahem.. east coast?) Apparently she toured a lot during 05-06 (esp in Baltimore... YES), sorry I missed her :-/
Might Like you Better is TOTALLY Maneaters CD material, and that's the reason the song is tagged. I happen to love that this harkens some Romeo Void while pulling a bunch of different samples. The video isn't super amazing but well done for possibly being low-budget.
Her new release is called I Love You and it definitely has a bit of Princess Superstar to it. Or maybe SHE just has a bit of it in her. Not in the cocky fashion, more in the Awesome-Confident-female-who-does-it-all fashion. My current likes are Shame on Me, Leaving You Behind (feat Lykke Li) and Big Heavy.

I've been seeing her name around, but I just had my first taste. I fancy the sound quite a bit! I didn't even mind Lykke Li in that song (and that's epic for me).
The only negative thing I have to say is that at times she sounds too much like Santigold, MIA, etc, but hey, she'll learn ;)
She has bags of character and when she invests in that 100%, she'll be grand.
