What It's Like

I love Everlast- he is totally under-rated and under-appreciated. Forget House of Pain. Everlast’s solo work is incredible. And I swear it’s not just because he is one hot man. Or that his voice makes me all tingly down there. Really… I swear!I love the combination of acoustic guitar and electronic hip-hop drumbeats. The lyrics in this song (like most Everlast Songs) are rather simple, but that’s what appeals to me. That, and the way they’re sung-with that sexy, gruff, rough edge. There I go, getting all tingly again. Okay, so maybe it is just lust.Everlast when are you coming to Phoenix?

richiesteelo says Great album, I never heard Whitey's Diner, supposedly it sucks, but that's just the critics POV, so that means nothing. 'What It's Like' is a great song, but my fav off the album was always 'Ends'. Great song, great album.

gakker says I hear ya..."What It's Like" was the mainstream hit, but Ends is probably my favorite on that album as well. As for "Eat at Whitey's" (the 2nd album)...not as good as the first...but the last one he put out ("White Trash Beautiful") is absolutely amazing. How amazing? Let me put it this way...he did a live concert at the Playboy Mansion to promote the album. I just got the DVD recently....it's half Everlast and half Playboy Bunnies posing and talking and hanging out with Everlast....The music is so good that I don't even fast forward through the chicks in bikinis!
