Test Driving Google Chrome

Posted about 1 year ago

Has anyone tried MOG with Google's Chrome browser yet? I haven't had any issues, except that I can't get the Rhapsody player to popup. Which means I can't listen to this song.

last night i finally figured out what Chrome is.  i'm intrigued, but want to know more.  i can't imagine trading firefox for anything in the world.

have you used Google Gears?  that's another google product i'm curious about.

I have the same Rhapsody problem.  (See forums.)  Maybe it's a mac thing.

I misheard a radio report and started looking for "Crow", but that Beefheart/"Almost famous" tangent aside,i think it's good. I like the way it's a full "clean" looking screen, with a clear address bar doubling as search,i really like that.

funoka... How about the "incognito" window?(obvious advantages there) .Only a day in  Mollifire but it seems easily as quick as " Firefox" (even with the boolean tweaks) Firefox looks like it will remain the "Webmasters" browser....I like the way it handles "favourites",you effectively build a unique "homepage"(?)from first use onward. Also like the comprehensive way it asks you where to put any downloads.. Generally it's all good.

funoka, it wasn't until reading christheskins' comment that i realized that I hadn't really read your post.  Doh!  I haven't checked Chrome out yet.  My Rhapsody problem was easily solved by changing my Firefox preferences, which is probably irrelevant to your Chrome Rhapsody problem.

I am still trying to figure out how to configure Chrome -- but it says it will tell me if blocks pop-ups. It isn't saying anything when I click on yellow buttons.  Red buttons play fine.

I've been very impressed with the MOG (and other sites) page load time- this browser is fast, but I too can't play Rhapsody links. If it was compatible with the Rhapsody player, it would definately be my MOG browser of choice.

I like that it's stripped down but still seems quite powerful. I guess we'll have to wait till there are some plug-ins to run various media types.
