They're back with another pleasant album of big hits by other people. It's as uneven as the first volume, but they do a nice version of this Todd Rundgren classic.

Subday is early this week :-)
You're right though, not a mad re-make at all
not a bad re-make either
It not a rad remake, either! I wish we could edit comments once posted. I tyepe to fasst and mayke misteaks.
yeah, like subday instead of sunday sheesh!
I guess i butchered that one didn't I
I agree with Rummy- it's not a mad re-make at all- in fact it's quite cheeful. We should start Saturday Subdays, where we post songs about submarines, subways, sub-compacts, submersion, sandwiches and such. :)
I really should wait until after I'm done commenting before firing one up.
Oh well, Yellow Sunmarine, anyone?
I bought the first one and was pleased with the result, being a fan of both Sweet & Hoffs and the fact that they covered some drop-dead tracks from the 60s. The track list on this one is not that inspiring, so I will probably cherry-pick a few from iTunes.
This one, for example. One of my least favorite Todd tunes, even though it was a success for him. No reason for a remake, IMHO.
I liked her versioin "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" on the first one.
Todd proved with this one that he could stand toe to toe with the Carpenters and Bread, and - that being accompished - jumped behind the pedastel and dropped his first hit. (thank God).
Sweet and Hoff prove that a great song, in talented hands, will always be an enjoyable diversion.
