The Pack A.D.

The first two bands brought to mind upon hearing The Pack A.D. are the White Stripes and the Black Keys. It's sparse, raw, gritty, soulful blues music from... Canada. With two albums - both released in 2008 - under their belt, Vancouver female duo - Becky & Maya - do the garage/blues rock revival thing pretty damn well.

Personally, I find them most intriguing simply for the fact that women that actually rock and aren't afraid of amplifiers are underrepresented.
