Speech therapy and music

Posted over 2 years ago

My dear friend I've known since Jr. High school and I still keep in touch.

We are nw in our 50's.

Her husband recently had a serious stroke following Quadruple bypass surgery. He was in ICU for just over two months. About the 4th day, Dr's. informed us that he may not survive, it was so severe.

Thank God, he is finally home. Yet it's a long road to recovery and his speech is sometimes off tune. He basically requires tremendous speech Therapy. It's like learning how to speak all over again.

I visited him for the first time since he's been home and all in fun I asked him if he could say: Supercalifragilistic Expialidocious.

OMG!!!! It was hilarious, but at least we all, especially him had a great sense of humor.

That song brought an abundance of laughter. We hadn't laughed like that since over two months ago. It was music to our ears.

Thanks Mary Poppins for a song that doesn't make any sense.
