so crichton was best known for his numerous best-sellers such as jurassic park, lost world, andromeda strain, and timeline as well as the creator of the tv dramedy, ER.
this is a humongous loss to the writing and tv communities and i just wanted to put out my extreme condolences for crichton's family.
the man died at the age of 66 from cancer.
side note: obama's boioks jumpwed from in the top 25 prior to wed morning (the morn after the election) to number one and two after being elected and the books slandering him went way down... obama nation being the highest rated one at no. 466....

that is sad news. i knew his name was familiar. that is from watching a lot of er in the early episodes.
