Reading brendanhalpin post about being stuck with commercial radio and hearing Lulu's "To Sir with Love" reminded me of a somewhat similar circumstance.On a recent road trip, I too was stuck with sucky commercial radio, as the cassette adapter for my iPod got jammed in the tape deck and now won't play. Flipping through the stations I came across Hall & Oates "Kiss on My List" and thought "Hooray!" only to discover, as the song came to a close, that I had landed on the local oldies station.Yes, moggers. The OLDIES station.I was heartbroken.Yeah, okay, so the song is over twenty years old, but to me Oldies conjures up sounds of the fifties, doo-wop and early rock-n-roll, not Hall & Oates.
