WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Artist:
Album: veneer

released in 2003, another album i have been slow to pick up, veneer is the cleanest most organic acoustic recording i've heard. the form does great justice to jose's playing style and writing. sounds like: red house painters, jim guthrie. i mostly want to call attention to him for those of you who trust me and let you hear before reading any extensive opinions of mine. i recommend "deadweight on velveteen" when you're up and the rest of the world is asleep - headphones are a bonus. i also recommend "all you deliver." listen for the percussion, it's perfect.

a short album but so worth a hear.

From what I remember he became big after he did a cover of Crosses, originally by Spoon.

My favorite song by him though, is his cover of Kiley Minogue's Hand on Your Heart. Now that is a must download song.

Oh, I love this album... have you seen the Sony Bravia ad? I fully recommend watching the full three-minute version.

Tell me how you like Hand On Your Heart? Then tell me if you can believe its a cover of a dance pop song.
