I ordered the CD entitled Temper by twin-cities singer-songwriter Bec Smith a couple weeks ago. She has two releases. Temper came out seven years ago. (I'm a little tardy). Her latest album is blessing and was released less than a year ago.
Bec emailed me to say she was down to her box of Temper, and since she felt that it had taken her too long to locate said box, she was throwing in a copy of blessing for no extra cost. How's that for wonderful customer service?
I've since received the package and I'm pleased to report that both records deliver. But don't take my word for it, check out her music here: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=37902340
I wish I had the time to give you the definitive bio on Psychic Archie, an alternative rock band from the 1980s that hailed from Topeka, KS. What am I saying. Time? I'm actually not an authority on the band. That's what's preventing me from issuing a definitive bio. We knew them at KJHK from two songs: No Pictures of Dad and I Never Loved her. The first was on tape cartridge and the latter appeared on the Fresh Sounds from Middle America Volume #3 compilation, issued by Fresh Sounds and KJHK in 1986.
There's been interesting discussions about Psychic Archie on the Yahoo! Embarrassment discussion board, including a link to the full Psychic Archie musical catalog.
