Axl Rose has lost his mind!!!

Posted over 5 years ago
So, one of my favorite bands over the past year has been Eagles of Death Metal. I've seen 'em 3 times this year and had a blast at each one. If you haven't heard of EoDM, they're one of the grooviest, boodie shakinest rock acts out there right now. Not to mention, they're a really nice, approachable group of guys who are all about having a good time and making people happy. In the last few years they have toured on their own, as well as opening for the likes of The Foo Fighters, Joan Jett, Peaches and The Strokes. They were slated to be the opening act for "G-N-R" on the tour that started just 2 weeks ago, but were apparantly "fired" by Axl Rose the FIRST night on tour. Here's the story:http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2006/11/30/updated-smoking-section-axl-vs-eagles-of-death-metal/#more-1444

  4. lemontwist says I'm jealous. I was ecstatic when I found out that Joan Jett was playing a venue 30 minutes away from me, and then extremely sad when I found out that EODM weren't gonna open for her. I wish more bands would come to the capital of NY. Come on, Albany is interesting and exciting! (Well, not really, but I can pretend.) I would love to see EODM live.

  6. Anonymous says i wuldn't give it much thot. i shuld check into the eagles of.... (not that other band, fuck them)... but i have a friend who's ex-girlfriend's uncle was like the co-writer on a lot of guns and roses songs - west arkeen... he died of a herion overdose about 7 or 8 years ago... and i guess west left his record collection to both him and her.... anyways, one of the albums my friend acquired from west was 'pony express record' by shudder to think, and i guess west said that axl had given it to himmm... a very weird thing cuz if you've heard shudder to think - it is the most gay music you will ever hear... i mean some people dress in drag, others sing feminine - but craig wedren sounds like a homosexual breathing down your neck expecting you to turn gay at any moment.. it's kinda seductive... i cannot IMAGINE axl listening to flaming gay music.. and the kicker is that shudder to think is a very very experimental band, particularly that album - it's a brilliant album.. it was released on sony, so maybe some big-wigs were doing LSD one day and decided to give it to axl... but it truly baffles. i don't think it's a sign of brilliance.. i just think he's been hanging out at that rainbow place too much - you know the one in that video with the dolphins...
