The other day I tried to figure out what the lyrics to "Wichita Lineman" by Glen Campbell were saying . . . well, to be precise, I knew what they actually were (Google the song name and the word "lyrics" and you'll get more sites than you can use), but I didn't know what all of them meant. As I Googled, I found Songfacts, a helpful little site that seeks to answer my type of lyric question.
Songfacts is done blog/messageboard style and is filled in by it's users, so all interpretations are subjective and range in quality. If you want detailed analysis of certain artists' work (such as Weird Al or Stephen Sondheim), individual fan sites for those artists are much more thorough. Still, if you just want to get some ideas about what a "Wichita Lineman" is, it's one place to start besides just Google or Wikipedia.
The new Harry Potter movie reminded me of Twelfth Night, since two of its stars, Imelda Staunton and Helena Bonham Carter, are in both films. Imelda Staunton may be terrifying in pink, but she can sing. Plus, this song is gorgeous.
I haven't abandoned MOG, but do you know how terrifying it is to think of MOG indexing the 47,000 songs currently in my iTunes library? I wouldn't be able to use my computer for weeks.

Hello! It's been a while, hasn't it?
Nowadays I'm listening to more music than ever. Now I have a job that I do better when listening to music (on my new iPod Shuffle).
On the other hand, I'm not on the internet as much due to the fact that this job is 40 hours a week and I need to eat, sleep, and clean my house on top of that.
I regret the fact that I haven't been able to be as active here, but I thought I'd leave a quick note explaining why.
Viva la musica!
