anyone else think this guy is a ridiculous bad ass? i mean, i'm not gonna go say he's the greatest bass player ever, but he is by far my favorite. he just lays down the fattest bass lines. dave schools, hell yeah.
"walked in the mountains, back in the city, so many things that don't look very pretty. little hunger, spiritual thirst, you got to change it on the inside first. be satisfied. be satisfied. you know, sometimes i think i know where its at. most of the times i'm completely in the dark. you know baby, little cause and effect, i got my karma from here right to new york. i've been satisfied, with my world. i've made it...the way it is...i've been satisfied. satisfied......."

all,
me and the lovely jouissance are heading down to sunrise, fl for this festival. its gonna be the shit, the tit, and the clit. holler if you from the st louis area and wanna carpool, we need to fill up my explorer (exploder). it made it on a 4400 mile trip from oklahoma to colorado to wyoming to montana and back so i think it'll handle missouri to miami. holler

line up looks great. go see the hometown favs Tea leaf Green
this guy rocks. he's from tulsa, oklahoma, my home town and probably gets less credit than he deserves. although, some greats have recongnized his talent like eric clapton, neil young, widespread panic, yonder mountain string band, and who knows how many others. if you recognize the songs cocaine, after midnight, and ride me high then you've heard his tunes. check him out
wikipedia has a nice article at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J.J._Cale
edit: oh i see similar information is posted in the biography section. well anyway check him out

I freakin' LOVE J.J. Cale. His album "Troubadour" is one of the all-time most sexy albums ever. Plus he plys guitar on one of my favorite Leon Russell albums, Will O' the Wisp.
JJ CALE is that diamond on the hillside with a face full of mud.

your post ain't got no tags. i got no idea who he is.
yeah... i love a good bass line. where can i find his music? what band(s) has he played with?
i think i've fixed it now. dave schools plays with widespread panic, slang (his own side project), and in the stockholme syndrome with jerry joseph
