MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

(105)

Good afternoon and Happy Easter peeps. Hope your Sunday is quite a special affair with many of your wildest hopes and dreams coming true. I will be spending most of the day doing some chores and listening to Discworld on my ipod. Thought I would drop some cover songs on you while I'm doing that. I've been meaning to post this first song forever as I really like it quite a bit. Also, I wanted to point out if you haven't seen it before there's a really great series of French compilations called La Musique De Paris Dernière that are chock full of cover songs. If you get a chance check it out. I discovered a lot of artists from those. Anyway Happy Easter people of Mog!

No problem Weedies!

It's one of my favorite toons too Mike. This bossa nova version is most excellent. I only wish FPM would go back to making more songs like this.

Happy easter Sam, excellent track (just listening to the first one, the others will come later). I didn't know that FPM did bossa nova. I don't have a lot of them/him/her/it, I think primarily on a compilation or two..

The other two covers are also pretty good - just to mention that ;).

Happy Easter to you too Hermes. FPM is a part of the Japanese scene that samples a lot of bossa nova, exotica, 60's French pop, film music, disco, and all sorts of lounge. FPM is a lot like Pizzicato 5 but more clubby. I have all the albums and I think they're all really top notch. The last one Too is a bit too much on the diva house music side for my tastes but there are some techno tracks. I posted a primer of him a while back with this song on there too. http://mog.com/fistula_spume/blog_post/102302
