Naked or What's Going on In My Brain

Posted over 2 years ago
Hey all you cool kids and kidettes. I'm still alive and kicking. My new position at my work is really commanding my time and I haven't been able to make any posts. I just finished a new picture in my Moleskine. It's pretty much a diagram of my brain. There's a few other such pics I've done on "my Flickr":http://www.flickr.com/photos/samhouser/. I've also been working on a picture for 7 months now and I'm so close to finishing. It's nuts. More so than usual. I haven't been able to read up on posts and I'm throughly behind in internet years. I haven't even gotten new music for a month and a half now and that's so unusual for me. I have been listening to some sweet mixes via podcast lately and that's helped. I figured I'd give a shout out since I've been so Missing-in-Mog-action lately. Even my wife said that I should write a post. So here it is. I wanted to post some Electro-Clash tunes. I've got enough of this stuff for a few hundred posts and I don't think I'll ever be able to do that. Here are a few songs at random for your aural pleasure. Hope you like them. Love you all and hope all is going well with youse guys as well. Take care.

  3. The Serenity Vortex says Woop!!! I thought I sensed a disturbance in the force ;) Glad to have you back dude. I hope this work malarkey is worth it. I can't shout though, I am l chained to this desk of mine and being forced to code Actionscript for food and technology........I have an escape plan though. All I need is some moon rocks, a small glacier , a whisk and one slightly used rubber chicken. Then I will make my move....... Move My Body was the one for me.

  4. fistula spume says Like a thousand songs died and then they were gone. :) I don't think it's worth it but we'll see. A lot can change in a life. I think I need to devise such a plan. I got a whisk if you want. You might be able to get a glacier on ebay. Move My Body has a really great build to it. I like the others too. A little more clash than electro but it pushes my buttons. The good ones. ;)

  5. chucky says Well you've completely redeemed your absence with these songs. I'm digging the hell out of these.

  6. fistula spume says Thanks Chucky. I thought about you today. Sort of. I drove by Chuck E. Cheese today and I wondered if after all these years he should go by Charles E. Cheese since he's so old and then I thought "ah, I wonder what chucky's doing". My mind works that way. Not sure where that's filed. Glad you liked the song.

  7. chucky says Haha, my mind works like that too. I understand. :P I also now understand why Crash calls me Charles - because I'm old...hahaha....

  15. Lady Miss Ian says Hey Fisty - good to hear you haven't been completely absorbed the the real world. Hope you're coping with the new job stress. Your illustration is FABULOUS. My inner 13-year-old boy especially appreciated the "dead fart." ;-) Thanks for the coolio tune. See ya when you resurface again.

  16. ciphermedia says Ha Ha Floody! I love your escape plan. Especially the slightly used rubber chicken. Sam: Absolutely like a thousand songs died and then they were gone. It's good to have you back, even for a cameo. (Not that I'm here much myself..) Love 'Move my Body', but also really like 'Balloon Factory' - the singer's voice really reminds me of Nina Hagen. Re: Ivylander's comment - see, I told you you need to get some prints of your work happening. There's a market out there for them! You don't even have to start out big (with an agent) - you can get it photographed properly by someone, then get the prints made & sell them yourself online. (See "Anna Log's":http://mog.com/anna_log website "punkturns30":http://punkturns30.com/ where she sells her original photos of punk bands from the seventies and early eighties).

  18. fistula spume says @nicki: love the avatar. @Lady Miss Ian: Much thanks. @ciphermedia: I really liked Balloon Factory's vocals too. All kind of different but they get thrown in the same category. I haven't thought of Nina Hagen in forever. I gotta get something going on prints. I even had two other people tell me after you did that I need to do this. Gotta figure a way to do this. Thanks for the link to Anna Log's site. @scotfree: Just have to say I love your Cecil avatar. I love that cartoon. Tiga is pretty great. I love his tracks with Zyntherius. Maybe you can mogmail Boy Flood the rubber chicken lol.

  19. Hermes says Hi Fist, I was already wondering, why all my TOP moggers seized to MOG at exactly the same time, when I didn't have time to MOG any more. Now I know ;). Well here the same, but the fuckin' thesis is handed in, so the biggest part is over now. Only one exam left and then I'll finally earn some real money hopefully. Nice tracks. Nina Hage is a really queer lady. She made a new song with a German HipHop band, if I remember right - heart it on my local radio station. And I thought: That can't be true - the definition of German punk or trash or whatever goes HipHop? Well she can ... . Why limit oneself to a special genre. Anyway. Good to have heard something of you. I hope the new work makes either much more fun than the old one or it pays out better financially. I'm in quite this dilemma right now - making a Ph. D right now would mean, only enough money to survive for three more years at least, but it would be much more fun I guess. Looking for a well paid and still halfways funny job, would be the other possibility. Hmm ... wondering.

  20. fistula spume says Glad to hear your well on your way to being Doctor Hermes. Nothing bad can come from getting your Ph. D. I haven't heard Nina in years. I'd imagine hip hop Nina would sound downright bizarre. Does she rhyme grunts and snorts I wonder. I posted that new picture today. The job stuff is really stressful and I don't really have so much time for Mog lately. I didn't mean to take off for 3+ weeks but it just worked that way. Apparently I missed Mog being slow and a pain in the ass. Hope you find a fulfilling job.

  21. Anna says Good to hear from you and what a cool picture :) Slap me hard and call me Anna, Naked is the sexiest thing I've heard in some time!

  22. fistula spume says Naked is always sexy to me but I'm old fashioned. ;p

  23. MsRosalita says MOVE MY BODY gets my vote to, Mister. Pumping! I've been away because I haven't been able to log in? ANYWAY - the DJ you enquired about (Ed Banger from label launch) is called Breakbot. If you go to www.myspace.com/loberecords you will find him as number one on there... He looks like Sebastien Tellier's Evil Twin... played a VERY hard live set that had a lot of the random indie kids who stumbled by the venue extremely confused... Ah, not like my old dancefloor days!! :D These tracks rock - my god, the crescendo with MOVE MY BODY is electric..!
