WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Moonbabies at the Ballroom

Posted over 2 years ago
Why didn't anyone tell me about the Moonbabies? I got their newest album and it is really good. I mean it's great. Moving indy rock. Almost indy pop. Somewhere in there. Driving rhythms, great lyrics, nice melodies, catchy hooks... This album is a powerhouse. It reminds me of so many things from the 90's but my mind drifts when I try to think of it. I have to admit I only bought the album because I liked the cover and the name. I mean how cute is Moonbabies?! I just wanna draw that. I'm sure this will blow up so I won't say too much. Really good album and I don't usually listen to this sort of music very often. It's moody and peppy. Like all of my other indy rock heroes. Gotta hear more by them. I wouldn't say that this album is better than Grandaddy or Arcade Fire but it holds its own as a really solid album. Oh and they're Swedish which already gives them a high swoon factor for me. Check it out. I wasn't sure which song to post as they're all pretty good. Here's what I think is the main track. Enjoy. Oh and this album has a CD release date of 5/29/07.
