I thought to post this after I checked out new trusted mogger "I am's":http://mog.com/i_am blog "Without Guile":http://www.withoutguile.net/. He said he was "Seeking Futurama Music .....":http://withoutguile.net/?p=29. I do remember Röyksopp's "Eple" on Futurama and I felt I had to point out my tidbit on the theme song. I think that the theme music is largely based on Les Yper-Sound's "Psyché Rock". This was a one off project by Musique Concrete composer Pierre Henry and was a big hit in his country of France. The song has been covered or remixed by William Orbit, The Moog Cookbook, Fatboy Slim, and Ursula 1000 to name a few. You can "see a list of some here":http://www.xs4all.nl/

I can't believe you interrupted my "Farscape" viewing for this trash.
Had a good idea for a post 'bout beautiful women in decidedly unflattering roles.
One of my picks would be Virginia Hey!
Second ... maybe ... nope. Lost it.
Nah! Just Kidding. Seriously, bite my shiny metal ass!
This is great.
I gotta ask. Was this something you just had lying around or ... or .....?
Do you have walls covered in vinyl?
Mechanized album selectors?
Less/More like the 13th Floor Elevators.
I have this stereo test record that tries to simulate the sound of travelling past the planets. But we all know space is a vacuum.
Thanks. How went your day?
And I wanted to ask if your familiar with the Gen.P. Orr. project Psychic TV. I imagined you would be. I don't know, Gen.P. Orr. and his gift for the nth level. To house for me.
Thanks 'gain.

This was something I had lying around. I really like it. My day turned out better than expected. As per my post yesterday about being angry I'm pretty familiar with the artist formerly known as Neil Andrew Megson. Gotta check out his Throbbing Gristle work. The old Psychic TV stuff from the mid 80's has no connection to house whatsoever. More industrial. I do however recommend Psychic TV's "Peak Hour" if your into the Orb or Orbital or just tripping out on techno. It seems to be mostly produced by fellow Mogger "Larry Thrasher":http://mog.com/Larry_Thrasher. Trash you say? I say thee nay! A million French people from the late 60's would beg to defer as well as any fan of psyche rock worth their salt. :)

Just when it was getting to the good part.
I am familiar with TG. Was it "Ultrahouse" I could have been thinking of ...
Wasn't Megson even more twisted (relatively speaking) than Gen. I remember reading something 'bout their "performance" pieces. Blood and urine. Insertion of tampons. What not.
I am telling you, nth level stuff.
Shock because they can. Capital "A" Art.
And we know 60 mill. French people can't be wrong.
Seriously, Just lying around?

Thanks ookpik.
I am I would clean that keyboard first. Yeah. I've had this song for a couple years now. It was on the Pop A Paris part 2 compilation. I would love to have it on vinyl but methinks it would be pricey. I had a run in 2005 when I put it on all my mix cd's.

This track brought back visual memories of a modern ballet "Messe pour le temps présent" from choreographer Maurice Béjart. The music was composed in 1967. See this blog http://tapestryofdelights.blogspot.com/2007/04/y.html

I first got me this track in the Rare Funk bootleg compilations (also known as "the Nuggets of Funk") made in the UK 13 years ago. That reminds me i should get the original album. Excellent post, man.

Ooh that sounds interesting. I'm going to google that. I wish I could've had that 13 years ago. I think I was more interested in rave music back then. This would've been welcome. There's no time like now to find something new (old). Thanks soulrocket!
