Well it finally came out. I loved The Pipettes first EP that was on iTunes. Lots of fun. I have reservations about this album. It's not bad but it didn't deliver like I thought it would. The Pipettes are sort of a 60's girl group revival band. Much like The Delmonas were only not as awesome. The album is very well produced. The songs aren't bad. There's something missing for me though. I still love the song "Dirty Mind" but it sounds like they reworked it for the album slightly. If you a big fan of girl group music then this I think will be up your alley. There are some great songs here. I've been putting ones from the EP on my mix cd's. I was hoping for so much more though. I keep thinking of Spice Girls when I listen to the album. I don't know The Pipettes backstory but I'm hoping this isn't some record producers pet project to make a super group. I'll just have to wait and see how it goes. Any thoughts?
