If your a fan of Air, Portishead, Thievery Corporation, and Massive Attack then I recommend this album if you didn't get it. It's a great downtempo trip hop album released in '98. I didn't hear about it when it came out. I found it digging around All Music Guide some time around '02. I put this one up there as one of my favorite trip hop albums. It's not hard like the Chemical Brothers. It's more downtempo and stonery. He uses a lot of vocal and sound samples on the album. The beats are hip hop and breakbeat. He also uses some South American beats to accompany the techno and sounds from R&B and Funk. Katrina Mitchell of The Pastels provides vocals to the track "Love Me Sweet". That's a very pretty song. I bought the two disc version. The second disk is alright but it's not that sooper great. It's more filler and the songs don't really go in any sort of order or relate to the album very well. I think you would be pleased getting just the album and not ever knowing what was on that second disc. If you have albums by the artists I mentioned above and you missed out on this one like I did then I recommend checking it out.
