   fistula spume says I really like Akufen. I've got a few tracks and a bunch of remixes by him. I say "they" on my post but it's one guy. I really like the track "Deck the Halls (akufen mix)" by him as well if you can track it down. On discogs it says "Akufen is a phonetic spelling of acouphène, the French for tinnitus."

   levek says Akufen is Marc Leclair from Montréal. He is known for his 'micro-sampling', taking very short clips of everyday sounds, radio program bits, tweaking them and putting them together to produce a musical piece.

   mersenne says he's really the most successful "microsampler" ever, he used to sample stuff off satellite radio & stuff and his first stuff are golden. unfortunately in this era nothing remains fresh, so once everybody began to microsample, akufen lost its crown.:/
