WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Sound-Sphere

Posted about 1 year ago

Even though this is Japanese I think this is probably one of the best indy rock records I've heard in a while. Petset plays a mix of jazz and indyrock. They're very dynamic with emotional twists and turns in their music. They have a very clean and polished sound. The whole album is an emotional treat. I think Sound Sphere was released in 2002. It's hard to find info on them. I'm not sure how many albums they've had or what their back story is. They make amazing music though. I think they have one other album after this one but it came out years later like '06 or '07. They're such a treat. I highly recommend them. Even if your not into most Japanese music but you are into Elephant 6 Collective type music I think you'll really like this group. They're quite special.

Found their myspace site "*HERE*":http://www.myspace.com/vroompetset. There's a link to their band label site on myspace but it's mostly in Japanese.

    Cute, twee pop!

Dreamy, glisten-y, melodious, super-earnest, and quite endearing. (And, as a bonus, you get a bit of English-as-a-second-language fun.)

Definitely all of those adjectives.  Mike I'm going to put forth and say it's their 3rd language.  I think they start on French earlier when they are kids. :)
