Luke Vibert part 2

Posted about 1 year ago
Oh I've struck gold. Thank you internet! This is (I think) my 8th post on Luke Vibert and related things. The guy is just so crazy awesome. I just found this fan site that has a ton of really great tracks uploaded. There's a 52 minute live mix, two different John Peel Sessions shows, rare compilation tracks, outtakes, and an EP. I felt like candy in a kid store when I found this today. Total it's about 2 hours and 30 minutes of listening. I haven't heard the live mix yet but I've listened to everything else almost 2 times today. It's so good. One of the Peel Sessions sounds like it was recorded off the radio. The quality isn't that great but there is this one track called "Mellotron" that I can't stop listening to. It's not on any of his albums or other released material. I'm not posting that one because the quality isn't that great. I am posting some others though. Go to http://www.brainwashed.com/vibert/sounds/ and check it out. It's like discovering a whole new album you didn't know about. There's also two tracks from his last cd he made with Jean Jacques Perrey. I still haven't gotten that yet but if these tracks are any indications I'll make up for that oversight soon. I love Luke Vibert!

  6. Dzendvokh says Yeah, Luke's the man... a most prolific stoner. I've been meaning to check out that album with JJP too... thanks for the link

  7. fistula spume says My comment disappeared! Oh well. Luke is the man and he makes a lot of stonery references in tunes. Some overt references and some kind of cryptic. I really want that new album with JJP. I got a 4 song EP and it was pretty cool. He's a busy man. Who say that stuff makes you lazy.
