Fellow Mogger "davidaarong":http://mog.com/davidaarong has a band called "The Long Division":www.thelongdivision.com which he will be self releasing an EP for this summer. The Long division is an internet collaboration between David, who hails from California, and Jef who is from Ontario Canada. The music sounds really good. You can check out more on the band's "MySpace":http://www.myspace.com/thelongdivisionband and also at "thesixtyone":http://www.thesixtyone.com/TheLongDivision/. The track I'm posting is "Neighbors". I like how it has a kind of quiet stomp with tiny beats. There's a kind of small drive to the rhythm that I find pleasant. I quite like the song "Honey Pot" as well. It's got a kind of Kelley Polar vibe going on. I like how clean the group sounds with the synths as well. It's not overly muddy. I'm also really impressed as this collaboration has only been going on for a month now and they sound pretty solid and have more tracks than I would expect. Good on you David and Jeff. Keep it up! It's good stuff. Check them out!

  8. Augusts1 says The player wasn't working for me when you posted this earlier so I came back & boy I'm glad I did. Liking this alot, thanks for the headsup. It has a real '80s synth pop sound ala Erasure. Good stuff.

  10. Hermes says I'm honestly surprised, that I somehow like this song, as I regarded synthpop as a No-Go musical area. I guess I'm getting old and my criticism lost its acidity ;). No honestly, a quite nice song - I'm slowly approaching this genre coming from Elektropop.

  11. fistula spume says Glad so many people have liked it. I'm curious to hear the album when it comes out. Hermes we could all use more acidity.

  13. Mike the Knife says So is this MOG.com or MOOG.com? (Nice stuff. Right in my taste bracket. The Erasure reference is apt, but it's sweet any way you spoon it up.)
