Funky Friday
This song is actually called Funky Friday. Blue Boy is the guy who did that song "Remember Me" off of Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz in the late 90's. This is alright. It's kind of giving me flashbacks listening to it.

Those Mushroom Jazz's were pretty cool. A kind of newer house I could live with..nice covers too..minimalist, or at least distinctive.
Those comps were pretty cool. I missed seeing him once by minutes. He was playing on a boat in Portland. Apparently the show got shut down by the ships crew because of all of the cocaine and ecstasy that was aborad.
I forget what Blueboy's monster smash was..but I remember liking it..more on the jazzier side of house,wasn't it?
It was an awesome track. He found some rare european soul something or other sample and made a breakbeat song around it.

I always thought he was sampling Marlena Shaw, Liberation Conversation..but not quite..be interested to know the sample.
I remember reading in the trades back then that he came out of no where with this song and a ton of dj's were jealous of him having the sample. It's a dope cut.
