Fuck The Farmacia

Posted almost 4 years ago
Yeah fuck em... but not the Japonize Elephants. They were a 10 person group out of Bloomington Indiana that put out two albums. This song is from their album Bob's Bacon Barn that came out in 1996. It's fun stuff. It's bluegrass music but they add flavors from all over the world. I've always enjoyed them. I really like this song. There's something arty about them that I think shows in their music. It's something aside from the talent and the melding of genre. Hope you enjoy this ditty.

  1. levek says Many influences for sure! I'm thinking klezmer is a major one.

  2. amber says As a pharmacist, this caught my eye. Toward the end of my work week, I think this may become my mantra. :) Love the art too...yours, perhaps?

  3. fistula spume says Definitely klezmer levek. Amber I hear you. Especially in my line of work. I remember my boss asking me if it was a conflict of interest for me making this picture. Everyone in the office liked it though. This is probably one of my more lucid pictures.

  5. fistula spume says Hopefully someday when I get it together I'll make some prints. I'll probably make an announcement if that works out. I'm really busy right now working on a new body of stuff to show somewhere. Need to make about 5 or 6 more right now. Never enough time.

  11. fistula spume says Dermahrk it is a pretty excellent title. Sounds like a Les Claypool title. Blue Meenie it's titled "Pharmaceutical Pool Party". I definitely think this band would've been fun live. I know one of their members has continued on to lots of other bands but I need to do more research. Thanks SunshineDaydream. I originally had Klezmer in my description but mog ate my post before I posted this post. This song is definitely a hootenanny.

  12. Bartleby says Klezmer? I like Jewish music -- Sorry, I'm completely off track but the visual and music are most appealing. Thanks, Fistie
