First off I'd like to thank "Oatmeal":http://mog.com/Oatmeal for recommending this album to me. It was very thoughtful of him and totally up my alley. _Dreams of Water Themes_ came out in 2003 on Plug Research. Adventure Time was a collaboration between Daedelus and Frosty (founder of internet radio station Dublab). If I had seen this album at the store I would've purchased it based solely on the cover alone. I think it's really awesome. The album seems to invoke the feeling of what the album cover convey's. It's a whimsical high seas journey through the east to the far east. The album combines thrift store kid records, kabuki, Indian music, old skool funk rhythms, european film music, jazz samples, african music... It's a genre smörgåsbord. Really fun stuff. I found it hard to choose which tracks to post as I liked them all. Each represents its own little journey through the world. It's definitely an adventure. Thanks again Oatmeal for the recommendation and if you get a chance I recommend checking it out too.

Thanks dude. I'm looking forward to posting more regularly now that holidays are over and I've got my head back on. Have a ton of stuff that I want to post that I got over the holidays.

Yeah way fun. I was worried about posting two of the vocal tracks but I liked them a lot. All great though. I saw that there were a few tracks that they submitted recently on compilations. I wonder if there's more Adventure Time in the works.

I read somewhere that there is a complete album expected this year. I heard one comp. song and it had this funny 80's synth vibe going on.

Thanks Bartleby. It is gorgeous. I wish I could color like that. There's such fluid movement with the composition and the color really matches it.
