WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

My Song

Posted about 1 year ago
It must seem like I'm the postmaster general today but I had a bunch of stuff to share and the time. My wife is out with a b-day for one of her best girlfriends and I am drinking, drawing, listening to tunes and mogging. I heard this song on the latest Polypunk podcast. That's quickly becoming my fave music cast. I searched for this song and I found it. The renewed interest is because Kanye West sampled it on his newest album. This track is crazy good. I want more "Labi Siffre":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labi_Siffre. As soon as I got this track I listened to it on repeat about 30 times. Maybe it just struck a chord with me. It makes me weepy and happy at the same time. So good. He has this sort of nonchalance with the way he sings it. It's very matter of fact. Anyway. That's it for posts today. Press play on the red button already!

  6. Augusts1 says Hey he sounds just like Alison Goldfrapp. Oh wait it is Goldfrapp on my puter, heh. What's his name? Labia Stiffre? Oops, I added a few letters there. This reminds me of '70s easy listening stuff like The Carpenters(who I adored back then) & The Psychic Friends Network, uh I mean Dionne Warwick(who I didn't adore, although she had a nice voice). He does have a beautiful voice, but it's sounding more like Dionne so I'm thinking the music is a bit misguided though.

  7. fistula spume says It's some solid cheese for sure. I can diggit. I'm a softie for bad 70's sentimental songs. I can totally see Dionne Warwick. I think his voice is sort of reminiscent of Al Stewart too.
