I've been listening to Toronto Canada's I Am Robot and Proud lately. This is my introduction to I Am Robot aka Shaw-Han Liem. Darla rereleased his first album _The Catch_ and added to it the early EP _Spring Summer Autumn Winter_. Originally this was released in 2001 and 2002 respectively. I'm really loving it. It has a playful childlike innocence to it. It's like a complex lullaby. With sometimes a funky beat. The beats don't really take center stage on this album though. The focus is more on the cracks, pops, bells, and whistles. The sound is like Isan, Plone, Lineland, Lullatone, a little Mouse on Mars, and probably a bit of Boards of Canada. It's dreamy and fun. Apparently he's good to see live. Darla has taken the task of reissuing his albums and releasing the new ones. He's also got a couple of free tracks on "his site":http://www.robotandproud.com/. I really recommend it. It's good stuff.

I love this guy so very very much. "The Catch" is a solid album I've used to turn even hardened 'electronic music' haters over to the dark side. Also have played with the mouseover music toy on his website for far too long the first time I saw it..

FastRMacR - No problem!
levek - Thanks. I think I fixed it. Can't tell because for some reason I can't listen to anything on new Mog at work. Which blows. Argh!
pjjw - It is really fun. It makes me wish I had 7 mouse pointers. Have you heard his last album? I'm thinking about getting that one.

The Electricity In Your House Wants To Sing? It's okay. The two on the Darla reissue are his best, in my opinion. I'd grab Grace Days before Electricity, though.
Also, if you can find You Make Me This Happy, a remix compilation, there's an interesting little treasure as a hidden track:

Ugh, hating the new player. NO volume control, fast forward or song info.(even though you provided it yourself, thanks) wtf?! Having said that I'm liking the music. It's pretty happy & upbeat unlike my previous comment, heh.

pjjw that's a crazy mashup. I think Mike the Knife would like that track. Thanks for posting it.
August I hate that as well. If I could I'd make my own flash player that was small and didn't take up space. I liked the old player but I always thought it was too chunky. Now that it's gone I'm not happy. Yeah the music is nice and upbeat. It's kind of peaceful.
