I cannot stop listening to "Hawaiian Island" by "Sorcerer":http://www.sorcerermusic.com/magic/. I've played it about a million jillion times in the last 5 days. It's on his new debut album _White Magic_ that came out this year on London label Tirk. It's such a smooth album. It sounds like disco in slow motion. Really reminiscent of Metro Area and Kerrier District. I want more of this. I hope this is indicative of what else Tirk has to offer. This album from what I've read is drawn from the artists love of California, the ocean, the coastline, good times, and nostalgia. One fun tidbit is Sorcerer is Daniel Saxon Judd from indypop band Call and Response. I absolutely loved Call and Response's first album on Emperor Norton. Anyway I wanted to post some of my fave tracks from this album. It's hard to pick a few since the whole album is pretty solid. If you listen to the track "Surf Wax" please tell me if I'm wrong in thinking that baseline is from something else. It's driving me crazy.
