I thought I would fill in the gap and do a series of posts about Japanese musician "Yoshinori Sunahara":http://y-sunahara.com/. Yoshinori was born in Hokkaido, Japan in September 13, 1969. His influences include Yellow Magic Orchestra, Kraftwerk and Art Of Noise. He played in several bands until becoming 1/3rd of the techno pop group Denki Groove (Electric Groove) on their 3rd album _UFO_. It was released in 1991. Denki Groove was a platinum record selling group in Japan that brought techno music into the mainstream. Yoshinori was known as Marin in the group. In '94 Denki Groove took a break so the members could release solo albums. Yoshinori released some tracks under various aliases and produced his first solo album in '95 titled _Crossover_. Unlike the loud, in-your-face, comically strange antics of Denki Groove, Yoshinori had produced a very polished and lush downtempo album with hip-hop beats. He followed this album up in 1998 with two airplane inspired concept albums _Take Off and Landing_ and _Pan Am - The Sounds of The 70's_. He left Denki Groove in 1999. In 2001 he released his last album _Love Beat_ which was more techno and less downtempo. He hasn't released any albums since _Lovebeat_. He had a greatest hits come out this year on Sony's Ki/oon sublabel titled _Works '95-'05_. I'm not sure what goes up to '05 that he did but it's hard to get info on Japanese artists together. I wanted to post a couple of non-album tracks. The first is from the amazing Japanese Electronic primer _Pacific States_. The track was produced for this album and came out just prior to the _Crossover_ release. The second track is a remix for FPM and the other is a track of his remixed by Nicola Conte.
