Not really but I like Jungle and I thought I would post some tracks. There's a huge point of contention on calling "drum & bass":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drum_and_bass "jungle" in the underground and as far as I'm concerned it's Jungle. It was Jungle when I first got into it. Before that it was breakbeat artists trying to morph it from breakbeat into something else. Like artists like DJ SS and 4 Hero. I had already bought the Jungle t-shirt before it was called Drum & Bass and I wholeheartedly am ready to argue anyone on this tidbit of silliness. It's not racist as later adopters would suggest. Just ask DJ Soulslinger. Drum and Bass to me is what came out from Good Looking Records. I'm just saying. There were Jungalists before there were Drum & Bass headz. Anyway. I know this is a retarded rant that I'm sure no one cares about. It's an exercise in semantics. I wanted to post some tracks that I like within this wide and many varied genre that seems to have grown out of time stretching. And I would also like to give kudos to the genre that gives big ups to the drum and the bass. Take that vocalist and lead guitar!

  10. fistula spume says A lot of this does stem from Dub and Reggae. That and of course some time stretching of the Amen break. Especially on the Kid606 track. It's kind of a sampling of wide variety. I wanted to post about 5 more tracks but I stopped myself. I love the Liquid Sky track. Classic New York Jungle. The Liquid Sky label had the coolest tracks and the nicest threads back in the way back.
