"Yukari Fresh":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yukari_Fresh is yet another Shibuya-Kei favorite from Japan. _New Years Fresh_ was released in 1999 on the Escalator label. Yukari has a lot of energy and makes some really strange electronic pop. She has the necessary cuteness factor for this genre but the words on some of her songs are downright bizarre. I think this album is an excellent starting point for her. Most of the tracks are very short interstitials but there's enough that are above 2 minutes. It's a fun and wacky ride. A bit like Takako Minekawa but a little weirder and the music is a bit more cartoonish. Check her out if you get the chance.

Seems like a lot of stuff off of "Rallye":http://www.panachesounds.com/rallyeshop.htm is pretty hip right now. "Marxy":http://www.pliink.com/mt/marxy/ always seems to know what's up too. It's so hard to tell what to get as so much gets published in Japan. I try to get what I can when I can. I've got a lot of late 90's early 00's Shibuya-Kei. Japanese music is so expensive to order here. Sayonara changling chan!!!!

Even if you did know what she was saying I don't think it would still make sense. Her lyrics are so ridiculous and random. Glad you like Yukari. She's got some serious groove for being so cartoonish.
